About

I am a fourth year PhD Statistics candidate in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at The University of Texas at Austin (UT). My research focuses on applying machine learning, statistical methods, and Bayesian modeling to real-world problems in domains such as finance and astronomy. As of the academic year 23/24, I have been working under the mentorship of Dr. Arya Farahi in the D3 Research Lab. To learn more about my research projects, please visit the Research section of my webpage. For the duration of my PhD programme, I have been awarded The College of Natural Sciences PhD Fellowship.

Prior to joining UT, I completed an MSc in Computational Finance at the University College London (UCL). My Master’s thesis, titled “Operational Risk Bayes Neural Network”, had a goal of identifying what change in operational losses values caused a change in operational risk measures. This project was a collaboration between UCL and Santander Bank UK and was supervised by Dr. Giacomo Livan (UCL) and Dr. Peter Mitic (Santander Bank UK, UCL).

I also hold a BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics at the University of Manchester, where I received The School of Mathematics (The University of Manchester) Entrance Scholarship.

I am currently seeking internship opportunities for summer 2026. My expected graduation date is May 2027. Please feel free to reach out if you have a relevant opening.
